Hunt-class Mine Countermeasures Vessel
HMS Cattistock was built by Vosper Thornycroft, launched on 22 January 1981 and commissioned on 5 March 1982.
Deployed around the UK on National Tasking and as part of NATO’s Standing MCM Group 2 in the Mediterranean. An extensive refit is planned in 2014 to include re-engineering and replacement of the Deltic diesel engines with Caterpillar C32 Advanced Combustion Emissions Reduction Technology (ACERT) marine propulsion engines.
