Westland Wessex HU.5
Westland Wessex HU.5 saving survivors in a life-raft, from RFA Sir Galahad at Bluffs Cove Falklands Islands.

Westland Wessex HU.5
Wessex HU5 (XQ) of 847 Naval Air Squadron, piloted by Lieutenant Tim Hughes with Aircrew Chief Petty Officer Bill Tuttey, was the only helicopter of this type to take part in the rescue of survivors from RFA Sir Galahad and RFA Sir Tristram at Bluff Cove on 8 June 1982. After a short time assisting casualties, the helicopter started to run low on fuel but rather than leave the area, the aircraft was landed on the burning Sir Tristram and refueled there, allowing it to return to its rescue mission without delay. The painting was commissioned and is owned by the pilot.
