HMS Anson (S123) Laid down at BAE's submarine facility at Barrow-in-Furness on 13 October 2011, named by Mrs Julie Weale on 11 December 2020 and launched on 20 April 2021. HMS Anson is powered by a Rolls-Royce PWR2 nuclear reactor, she is designed to achieve a top speed while submerged of 29 knots. As the fifth vessel of the ASTUTE class, she was commissioned into the Royal Navy on 31 August 2022.
