Hunt-class Mine Countermeasures Vessel
HMS Middleton was built by Yarrow Shipbuilders, Glasgow launched on 27 April 1983 by Lady Blaker and commissioned on 15 August 1984.
Recently deployed forward to the Arabian Gulf, based in Bahrain. Middleton returned to the UK in 2012 for extensive refit including re-engineering and replacement of the Deltic diesel engines with Caterpillar C32 Advanced Combustion Emissions Reduction Technology (ACERT) marine propulsion engines.
